We made a day trip there, and had a really good time, except for the heat and humidity. At one point I was ready to leave (which you never hear me say in the same sentence as "shopping") because I could feel the sweat running down my back.
Didn't purchase much, but here they are. First is my antique iron bench which is wonderfully chippy, painty, peely.
I have been looking for a bench like this for years, but they are hard to come by in our area. The dealer had the complete set, but for now I just wanted the bench.
Aren't the layers of paint just wonderful?
I have never seen the design on this platter before. The dealer, who is from Atlanta, had some wonderful things that I don't typically see around here.
The design is "Rural Scenes" by A. J. Wilkinson and, according to the dealer, was made in the 1920's.
Isn't the design on the edge of the platter just wonderful?
My husband bought a vintage telephone. When I asked him where he wanted it, he said "Put it with your stuff".
(photo styling!)
And the piece de resistance - the one I had to let get away because of the price. But isn't it precious? I would love to have it in my collection. I forgot the name of the pattern - does anyone know it?
So it was a full, fun and hot day. Thanks for looking with me! And thanks for coming by!

Glad you had a fun time and went home with some goodies. I was out of town and didn't get over till Saturday. Still managed to find some treasures to take back to Austin.
ReplyDeleteI saw your bench and started drooling. It is okay to drool over a bench, isn't it? I have been looking for one for decades. It is gorgeous!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd, your new platter is stunning. I love the pattern, and I don't recall ever seeing it either. The design is so pretty.
So may treasures. Even when I don't buy a thing, I love looking at what is there, but the show has gotten so big, it's impossible to see it all.
ReplyDeleteSuch wonderful vintage treasures. Thanks tons for linking to Inspire Me. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteGoing to Texas for junking is on my bucket list. I can only imagine how delightful it must be to gawk at the wares and purchase some bargains. Great finds.
ReplyDeleteWhat great finds! I wish I could have gone. Thanx for sharing at THT!
ReplyDeleteWonderful finds!! Love the old phone... um, Am I reading that right? Is the price on that plate $225 ?
ReplyDeleteI love dishes, and the ones you show here are delightful. Can't name the pattern of the last one; it appears to be an English pattern, probably Victorian.
ReplyDeleteI would love to go to Warrenton! You found some great pieces and I can't believe the plate is priced at $225. Thanks for dropping by and entering my giveaway. I am now a email subscriber.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Sherry
