Here, pull up a chair while I show you around.
I love how cozy it is - literally and figuratively! This is where I read my blogs (since my ipad died a watery death), watch tv - especially Downton Abbey, read, and just generally chill.
This is the most comfy chair I've ever sat in. In fact, I've even slept in it when I was sick and didn't want to keep Steve awake.
The other side of the room:
I love styling vignettes, and I always enjoy my bookcases, since they have more vignettes than books! (Although I love to read.)
I love the great colors of old Readers Digest books. You can coordinate them with any room!
Here is the only decorating item my husband has ever objected to - antlers. I put them in the living room over the mantel, and he didn't like them at all! He was afraid I was going to start decorating "western". So I moved them in here, and love them.
And of course I can't forget my gallery wall - a continual work in progress. Looking up from my desk:
Oh, Muppet took over your chair. Well, he thinks it's HIS chair. I have three dogs and a cat, but he is the one who follows me from room to room.
Well, that's the ten cent tour of my probably favorite room. Next time I'll make some popcorn and we'll watch a movie. Thanks for dropping by!

I love the idea of a girl cave!! I'd love for you to link up to The DIY'ers! http://homecomingmn.blogspot.com/2013/09/the-diyers-28.html
ReplyDeleteI wish I had a girl cave! I love your wall of art! I keep planning on doing this but to tell the truth, it intimidates me a little! LOL!
ReplyDeleteWhat a warm and comfy place to cozy up in! You sound like me. Books, blogs and Downton Abby. What else does a girl need? :)
ReplyDeleteOh I love it. I think every home should have a girl cave. I love, love, love orange, so this is definitely a room that thrills me. Beautifully done. Thanks tons for linking to Inspire Me. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteI love what you've done with the girl cave mom! Looks wonderful!!! :)
ReplyDeleteI love this room! We're hoping to build a sunroom and I'm thinking - green and orange for the color scheme, and I already have vintage black wicker for it, so seeing your room with the black and little bit of green was very inspiring. Muppet is a doll! Thanks for visiting me, sorry it took me so long to return the visit. Blessings - Dawn @ We Call It Junkin
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, and I bet the popcorn will be great too!!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
